We’re in great company!
Online Universities lists Nettuts along with some other rather big names as one of the 50 best places for learning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) online.

Check it out here, Nettuts is number 27 (in tutorials)

Wonder what they were thinking when they put HowToGeek and MuppetLabs in front of NetTuts… :)

W3Schools is unreliable, unfortunately. Here’s why: http://w3fools.com

Whoops. Opened my eyes right there ;) Thing is, I learned some basics there years ago and appreciated what they taught me back then. Looking back now the details seem to be a bit shady indeed – and as they say, the devil is in the details. What they mention on that page is not too groundbreaking though.

I don’t agree with that page. They illustrate a few errors but most of them are very minor and aren’t exactly going to break the web. It certainly isn’t “bad education”, just a few minor mistakes here and there. Most sites that comprehensive tend to contain a bit of incorrect information and from what I’ve seen not a single site happens to be as good a reference as W3Schools.

^ agree. One page of mistakes compared to many many more on W3Schools is nothing, none is perfect
