If you can somehow manage to search for any of my older threads you will find I have talked quite extensively on the subject of baby seal clubbing.

I heard a little something that they might be putting together a developer’ish blog that explains their entire tech setup.

Everything from their nginx reverse proxies through to database setup and amazon s3 storage.

I would be really interested in reading this :) especially seeing some updated stats on hits / file transfers across the networks.

I don’t know about Envato’s statistics, but nginx sure is awesome. I run it on my VPS and couldn’t be happier I dropped Apache.

Whils we’re on the subject of envato servers, how was the “recent threads” at the bottom of the marketplaces caches befor the temporary change. Was it everytime someone refreshed the page, or whenever someone made a post. And did it cache to a flat file or a database?

It was (and still is) cached for a period of time, it’s just a longer period of time now.
