I guess it’s what you do with all electronics, in case they fail and you have to return them, or if you want to sell them in the future.

I’ve kept mine.

Probably it all depends of the country, but for example in Italy if you go back to the store, let’s say 6 months after you bought the product, they will ask for the box. If you have it, they will send you to the repair center of that particular product. Apple had also tried to fool people to believe they only have one year of warranty.

But the law is a bit different. First you don’t need the box, second you need to bring the product to the store where you purchased and the store have to send the product to the repair center. Also the warranty is two years.

But because people don’t know the law and they also trust their fellow humans a little too much then they lose time or end up buying a new product.

So my advice is, know the laws of the country you live in, you need to be informed, this scams happens every day because people have no idea what the laws are.

Keep the box anyway, and everything inside, you will get more value if you sell the product in the future.

At least it can help you gain a little higher resale value if you have all the boxes and accessories ;)

They are good as cat house. Or cat bus. Cats love to travel with a cat bus made from a box. :P

I keep them because, in my opinion, they are not simple boxes, they’re part of the design.

I typically keep all boxes for a couple years (warranty + resale) till they lose value and I lose space. Apple product boxes will always have a place though. They’re like decoration for any space. :D
