Hi Guys,

Wonder if any of you can help me. I’ve had an email from someone asking if they are allowed to buy some of my music (and others) to create a workout CD. He wants to loop 30 seconds or so of some tracks and record himself talking over the top of it and then re-sell it as his own product.

If he purchased an extended license is he allowed to do this?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

James

Hi James. I think they may do that in case of your permission only.

Isn’t it exactly what Extended License is made for? They are going to incorporate the music into their product (the workout CD) and then sell this product.

Yes, that sounds like an extended licence to me.
