Hey everybody!
A “possible” client wrote me this:
“Hi indieground,
I really would like to use your indie-poster-template for some work:
- powerpoint presentation - flyer and poster design - website-design
we would use it to promote one of our parties.
Unfortunately I was not able to figure out if I may buy the regular licence for those purposes or if I need to buy the extended one. Can you help me out?”
I’ve checked the wiki and I’m also a bit confused about it.. and also the envato support cannot answer to license questions.. what do you think?

I think because they have to do multiple things that is correct to buy the extended one, of course it’s better for me but unfortunately i’m a very honest person, that’s why i’m trying to understand which is the correct one
I think the guy should buy the item with extended licence. Why?
Because- The item will be used on multiple and different projects. What it means if i have to use the item on multiple and different jobs but for the same company (web site, web banners, brochures, car stickers, street banners, business cards, flyers, powerpoint presentations). Those are different projects and isn’t right to use a regular licence just because all projects are done for the same company. For example, a regular licence is ok for different sizes of web banners, but not for materials used on different projects like I said before.
- You don’t know if the guy will use your item only on those mentioned projects. Nobody knows that.
- You can tell the guy to buy one item for each project. Is cheaper for him and correct for you.
OR
If he is only going to use that item 3 times max then it would be acceptable (and cheaper) to buy it 3 times individually.
In this instance an extended licence would only be worth it if it was A. cheaper than buying individually and B. if he wanted to use it time and time again for these kind of projects (or other clients).

Envato’s first condition for the use of an extended license is, Your use of the Work is limited to a single application. You guys are saying you can use it in different projects.
I don’t get it, can you or can you not?
the regular license is the one he needs since the extended license is made for who wants to re-sell the project (singular form, not plural)
in that mail the client talks about flyers, presentation and website so as long as is not going to re-re-sell the template all he needs is 3 regular licenses.
support, is it correct?
