I think Steve Jobs is a one-year-blogger, and here is his latest update: http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ Of course about flash.

Jobs not Job…sorry about it, someone here help me to fix the title? Thanks. :)

Hmmm.. in all fairness he does argue a few good points.

I still have a sneaking suspiscion that it has more to do with Apple trying to monopolise every market they encounter however.

Nothing new. Just the same hogwash they’ve been spinning for months. But the war just became epic. This will be plastered everywhere and people who don’t truly understand technology will buy it hook line and sinker. Adobe needs to pull all products from the Mac immediately, including the Flash Player, or they’re going to lose.

All of his reasons, if you do even a modicum of research are frankly b*locks. The two real reason he does not want Flash:

1) So he can tie developers to the iPhone only

2) to stop Flash developers bypassing the lucrative app Store.

Flash s*cks because it is proprietary. Use our Cocoa instead to make flash-like apps.

Now Adobe needs to respond back with something. Some love or something.

Let us assume that Adobe abandons Macs; tomorrow morning no Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Flash, After Effects, Acrobat and blah blah will work on a Mac. Imagine how many outraged designers who, as I’m aware, mostly use Macs, will react…

- One way is to get a PC – their job needs to be done after all. - Another way is to blame Stevie for starting the war. - Or, they would go along and start using other software – good luck.

I personally think the first two cases will occur at the most part and that’s why I’m still wondering why Adobe didn’t respond like that.
