I’m not sure if it’s intentional, but the Copyright in the Marketplace Footers still reads 2009 unless I’ve been living a year ahead of you all
I tried tweeting, But i’m sure my tweet probably got overlooked upon the many mentions.

this has been said before in the forum. It was argued that the year 2009 in the footer is the year the design was created and not the current year.
What they want to display is when the design went live and not what year it is.
Something like that was said but I cannot find the thread at the moment.

They should just put in a PHP snippet that automatically displays the current year.

I think the sites are programmed in ruby.

Yea, this was my thinking earlier though I am not sure if is correct.
My understanding/thoughts was that the first year should be the date the site or content was initially created and then the new year would go after it like so:
COPYRIGHT 2009 -2010
Of course, this is only from my experience on the intertubes, so we need someone with a law background! Where is Ivor when we need him?

LOL !
– You must put the year of the foundation of the site until these days
Envato is since 2006 so
Copyright © 2006 - 2010
They should have a dynamic code like WordPress does
<?php the_date('Y'); ?>
You hear that Devs?
“we’re working on it”.
