This has been happening for as long as I can remember, and it’s kinda annoying:

Result:

There is no consistency here. My two empty line breaks are completely ignored (have to use BR tags to format nicely). But after the second link there is 1 line break.

html:

It would be nice if it worked similar to wpautop.

Also, did all the comment font just change to monospace?

Hell, yes! This is really annoying problem. You (devs) should fix that ASAP.

I agree and would like to see a change on how links inside parentheses are transformed into actual <a> elements as well. For example: (check this site out http://themeforest.net) should exclude the final ) in the href attribute – it would be more convenient then adding some extra spaces to avoid the issue.

yep that has caught me a few times as well – especially when customers put links in comments wanting support and I click them and they don’t work (without realising the extra parenthesis was in the url).

Would definitely be cool to tighten some of this stuff up. Normally it’s not a huge deal, but answering comments on a tablet can sure be tricky sometimes (and sitting on the couch in front of the tv is how we all provide support, right? :D )

If you think that answering comments is tricky on a tablet, try providing support via Ticksy on a tablet :D

At least on Envato i don’t have to press a button in order to insert a link :D
