I don’t know what’s happening, but the past couple of days, I’ve been having major problems with the Chrome browser.
I’ll be working and open a new tab, I’ll be on there and suddenly the tab has opened itself in a new window.
This is pretty much all the time, in fact, I’m waiting for this one to suddenly be on its own page.

Maybe an issue with your computer more so than Chrome itself?

I use Chrome a lot and I also noticed some bugs with tabs in the last week or so. It’s like … the first bugs i notice in a loooong time.

The only I have with tabs is the fact that you can close Chrome without conformation. :/

1. Check if you’re on the Dev Channel – which means you don’t have the latest stable, but rather the latest “beta release”. 2. If you’ve modified anything in about:flags then try to revert it back. Some features in there are so badly developed and integrated that it really can mess up your browser. 3. Try to deactivate some of your plugins/extensions. May you’ve installed a poorly one…
PS: I had issues some months ago with some new features which can be activated under about:flags, and I had some issues with various plugins. Lately I’m troubeling around with AdBlock.

This was really annoying until I’ve met Chrome Toolbox extension. It could help you. 
For me, what happened with Chrome lately was it sometimes crashed when having many tabs or without any reason. Strange.
