I’m struggling to make even fewer edits in module parameters names. Because I like to reuse them as often as possible with less edits. It depends a lot how you keep your engines structured. It’s cool thing to have $white_item_index and $white_item, to keep things as defined as possible… but sometimes it’s faster to work with vars like $item and $i… and the item type to be defined by dynamic parameters. The best thing you can do is to have comments at the beginning of the function, to define the var types and what it does – i’m very bad at this :D
