... Don’t think that just because there aren’t a lot of customers commenting here that they aren’t reading what you write.

Some have no idea how much this is true…

@ the OP: Unfortunately, at least in the U.S. – you are technically in the wrong on this one.

Use of someone’s name without their express permission for a commercial application is commercial exploitation and is a tort. It effectively gives an impression of endorsement:

http://privacy.uslegal.com/what-constitutes-a-violation/use-of-name-or-likeness/

It’s also sandwiched in with what’s referred to as the “right of publicity”

Be careful.

If this is true Ken Burns needs some magic mushrooms, females and a virgin galactic ticket.

I’m wonder when kim dotcom will start suing all the people who have a .com website. Good news is that the marketplace is safe

Lawyers don’t send emails, they send PAPER….................

This morning i received the most strange email that i could have ever received.. I don’t think that it’s a joke, because it contains signed paper and all the stuff..

It’s from a laywer who says that my file “Slideshow with Ken Burns Effect” is in direct violation with some New York City laws.. Apparently i made bad use of the guy’s name in advertising my product..what?! Well…there are dozens of files on AD with the exact same name :D so i have to remove any associations with it’s name and make a public statement that i am not affiliated with KB by the end of next week, to avoid a lawsuit..

Anyway .. i just wanted to share this with you guys because i think that it can be something that we all can learn about from.. The funny thing is that i wanted to remove that file sometime soon, since it doesn’t produce any revenue anymore..
