Hey Everyone,

I made an update to the player adding a “Surfing” feature, as felt_tips had suggested in the original post. Now you can set the player in song surf mode, and it will play through just the first 30 or 60 seconds of the song before automatically jumping to the next track. Useful if you’re really in a hurry.

Thanks!

Some player news: AudioJungle Radio is born! (Thanks to Depard for the name idea)

You can now find the player at http://www.audiojungleradio.com. It’s also officially posted as an Envato Extras webapp: http://extras.envato.com/category/web-apps/

Run down of current and new features:
  • Now 5 easy ways to build an instant playlist: Use a bookmarked collection (public OR private), search keywords, by author, popular files, or what’s new on AJ (essentially the current home page listings).
  • Sort the playlist by relevance, sales, or rating. The shuffle feature on the player will also let you randomize the order of the songs.
  • A “Now Playing” display shows handy info for the current track, such as post date, rating, sales, BPM , looped audio, plus a mini description.
  • Hear something you like? Convenient BUY and DOWNLOAD links in the player let you jump right to the item page on AJ or easily download the watermarked preview file directly from the playlist! The download button also now automatically saves the comp as a properly named file (no more generic “preview.mp3”).
  • Song Surfing feature lets you listen through just the first 30 or 60 seconds of the songs before automatically jumping to the next track. Useful if you’re really in a hurry!
  • Be social—tweet about a song right from within the playlist.
  • The player is built on HTML5 , so you can also use it on your mobile devices. Browse tracks while in line at the bank, or while you work out at the gym!

An idea came up in another thread as a way to help mobile visitors listen to your tracks from AJ. You could put a link on your profile/item description to the AJ Radio player, modified for your username/collection, for mobile visitors to use. For instance: http://www.audiojungleradio.com?author=schwartzsound will load up your 25 newest tracks, playable on mobile devices. Or if you have a specific collection (perhaps a collection of all of your tracks) you could link to that with http://www.audiojungleradio.com?collection=1924096. Also, if you want a cleaner page with just the player, without all the text and search stuff, you can use the link http://www.audiojungleradio.com/player.php?author=schwartzsound

Hope this becomes helpful for sharing your music and listening through other author’s tracks. Feel free to share any ideas or suggestions via message, or post em here.

It’s just wonderful, thank you very much for your work! I think that site designers should have been a long time to do something like that!

Unfortunately, at this point API is not working correctly in the playlist does not show all of my tracks, as well as in the site analytics

That’s correct—the API is only able to return the 25 newest tracks for authors. If you want to make a playlist with all of your portfolio items, you put them into a collection (public or private), and link to it that way. What exactly is the site analytics issue you’re referring to?

Just a follow up on how you could help mobile visitors listen to your songs if they come across your item page:

I’ve updated the www.audiojungle.com/player.php page to allow playback of individual items as well. So if you want to have a mobile-friendly link to your item using the HTML5 AJ Radio player, you can do so with a link like: http://www.audiojungleradio.com/player.php?item=[itemID] where item ID just that number at the end of your item URL such as “1990674”. I also made a little banner you can use if you want to along with the link. So for a nice pretty link on your item page, you could add something like:

<a href="http://www.audiojungleradio.com/player.php?item=1990674"><img src="http://www.audiojungleradio.com/img/ajradiobannerthin.png" /></a>

to your item description, which would look like:

You can see how I did it on some of my item pages, I went ahead and put it at the top of the description so it shows up just under the player. Feel free to use the banner with a link to a collection or your username as well, as mentioned before.

Anyways, thought this might be of some use. Of course, now AJ will roll out their spiffy new HTML5 player tomorrow… works for me!

Hey Sinar, looks like Envato updated their API , so now there is no limit to items returned when browsing AudioJungleRadio by author. This previous limit was apparently also affecting the analytics area. That means you can now easily link to a playlist with your entire portfolio, or listen through other authors’. If you have a large portfolio, it may take a moment to load everything up at first.

Sorry, I just noticed your post! Thank you very much for the great care and labor!! I wish you good luck and many, many, many sales!! :)

Checked, it works! Hooray! You’re right, 93 tracks are loaded a bit long))), but it’s not a problem, can be broken down into categories and collections! In any case – thanks again! You are the best)))
