Hi, guys!
I want to become an exclusive author on Envato and I recently encountered the following problem:
Some sites let me delete my files sold there. But some not. I wrote letters to the admins of this sites with a request to remove my files, with describe the reason – exclusivity. Most of the admins do it immediately. But one of them said – “I’ll do this” and just delete my account (with $25 earnings) , but did not delete my files, and they are still sold. And I can not become exclusive here, while they sold. Admin of another site just silent, no answer for my request.
Tell someone encountered this problem? Any suggestion, how to fight to get them to delete my files?
Thanx!
I suppose you could try contacting their web hosting company and tell them that their client is infringing your copyright.
They might force them to remove it, or even just remove it themeselves.
I hope you get them removed somehow though.

Yeah, contacting their host might do some good, as they have a form of authority over them and they are in fact also partially liable for copyright fraud by one of their subscribants, so they’ll want it removed as well.

I not sure if you are referring to a single design or multiple designs, but you can be exclusive and still sell things on other sites. The restriction is for selling the same item somewhere else. If you have more than one theme you can still be exclusive while waiting for that other site to remove your file before submitting that design.

Thanx for suggestions. Parallelus, I have multiple designs – that all same files like here on AD and AJ. By the way – this admin recently mail to me, he told that “he work on the problem and let me know when it is finished”. Well, I am waiting now…

So the lesson learnt from this should be, never mention that you are deleting file to become exclusive on other site. Instead something like “I hate my own buggy file” may calm down them

VF, you right man, I had some tricky ideas in my mind, but truth won.
Death threats, they always work.
If you ever want to see your family again, you will delete my files by 5:30pm. Or else I will send severed body part for every hour you are late. Love, Kontramax
It won’t fail you.
