Yes, it can take many years to get some badges. But it is certainly possible. Stick with it!

I did too and didn’t recive an e-mail. Raised a ticket to get the badge. Got it, lost it, felt like a waste of time.
yes these ones expire after 30 days. try doing something a little more to receive the permanent badge (eg: track a website owner down, get the entire websites shut down, send lots of DMCA notices to hosting providers or the owners ISP , etc.. then report your success to support – not just the links)
