I wish there was a sort of “professional support service” to hire in case of need.
Since there are billions of wordpress developers it could be feasible.

Develpers will be glad to pay them to help doing support on weekends or for the holiday period. Or at least.. I’ll be glad to do that!
Because outsource support is not a joke: 60% of an author’s success depends on it. Hiring a wrong guy (as I made on January) may cause huge damages.

(Now: I’m sure some good guy will read my message and set up a super trusted “support” company..isn’t it? :D )

You know, I have been toying with doing this for a while.

Hire someone. Create a good FAQ. Or get reliable internet (buy a sim card with mobile internet where you go) and do a little work session during your vacation.

I’m on vacation at the cottage right now. A nice family retreat about 8 hours across the US border. To my left, my tennis racket, swimming trunks and an ice cold beer. To my right, my 27 inch iMac, After Effects loaded up with a render job for a trailing client project, over schedule and over budget. On my bed, with the help of my tablet pc/backup workstation, I answer marketplace customers and line up new work for when I get back to the city next week. Vacation is an ideal to strive towards.

And that’s why people need a kind of “footer” or “header” or both fields to enter data which will be shown on every item page, instead of just on profile page. Been requested millions of times so far, but no news on it, like it’s a rocket science… :/

Header/footer for item page is still something we want to tackle, but I think in this case the right place for the message is in the Support tab. I’ve made note of the idea of a “vacation setting” — which we could potentially use in a few places, like the support tab, profile and comments form.
