I was on vacation in last 6 days, I didn’t have access to a reliable internet connection. I was just able to respond to customers questions at item comment section. I couldn’t give my regular free instant support.
Now I see I have 6 angry customers and 3 new one star ratings.
I think buyers don’t know giving support is optional and they expect online 247 support. This is not fair.
What do you do when you are on vacation? Do you think is it fair to get 1 star rating and negative comment just because of delay in free support?

yup, general problem. Some write on their profile page when they are on vacation, but I doubt that many buyers read this.

But since everyone has the same problem – it is kind of fair again.

And that’s why people need a kind of “footer” or “header” or both fields to enter data which will be shown on every item page, instead of just on profile page. Been requested millions of times so far, but no news on it, like it’s a rocket science… :/

Same problem here, i even had a buyer complaining for the lack of support during my holiday times and he even said that internet is 24h 7/7 always online, so i guess according to him all authors shouldn’t sleep, shouldn’t eat, shouldn’t have holidays.

Wow, i’ll be dead after 2 days.

If you wan’t to will be Elite author you will not have any holidays all vacations. Even if you hire some “Help mans” they can’t answer all questions, submit item updates, etc. Only YOU (if you developed items) can give good help for your items.

No vacations, no holidays, no sleep :]

That’s the reason why, since February this year, I sleep 3-4 hours each night :) Like For LCweb, “being a one-man-corporate, the answer is -> no holidays” for me too.
