CSV (Comma Separated Values) is simply a text file with number and text values usualy with a comma (,) or tab separator in-between. It should work just fine using Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice. Also you can view it with any text editor (like Notepad) as it is simply a text file, but you won’t have organized tables as in Excel.

Why they want that ? Do they even have a right to ask for it ?
