so I have some sales on my items and i read pretty clear the “Minimum of 3 votes required for Rating” message. but still, i don’t understand how can I get votes for my items or some stars.

When somebody buys your item, they have an option to rate it. However, they are not obliged to it, so many of them skip that part of the process. That’s why you’ll have way more sales of an item that the actual rates of it.

That said, when a single item is rated at least 3 times, stars will be shown to you and to public.

Hi. It’s simple. After someone buys your item he can rate it giving from one to five stars. After voting of 3 persons the rating becomes visible.

urbazon is correct.

I have 61 total sales and 7 ratings, so that’s an average of about 1 rating for every 10 sales. None of my tracks yet show any stars (so none has more than 3 ratings).

P.S. There was a bug where a track would show the rating (in some cases) when it had less than 3 votes, but they fixed that.

Be careful what you wish for – you might get it.

Lol. The thread about one star rating is coming back! :) By the way, was this problem sold by staff? Or we can still get one star?

Sometimes a “star” can influence sales. But their existence depends on the integrity buyers … Perhaps administrators should consider that paragraph mark of the track for the buyer was required? It may be better to do it to reviewers?

I was thinking this myself as I wanted to nominate one of my tracks to be given away for free for promotion via AJ – but you need at least 3 ratings and be 4+ stars on the item to submit it.

I do think perhaps it could have the negative affect of decreasing sales, I mean sure it goes by an average so if you do get under 4 stars then perhaps its worth taking the item off AJ and tweaking it so it works better for customers. I generally think if they buy it they must really like it and thus a 4+ star rating would be enviable, unless they are being told to download it by their boss and they hate their job and just want to watch the wold burn haha!
