Help with Arabic characters

I’m working on a Flash project that has a fair amount of arabic text on it. Was supplied a word doc with the text to copy and paste, when I copy and paste this text into a Flash text field with Arial font.. it looks like it works fine, but actually some of the characters are incorrect.. client says it reads all jumbled up..

Anyone know what is the correct font to use for Arabic? Or can suggest something else. Thanks!

I think your font is fine(ales you can go with Arabic transparent they are free) when you do copy and paste you include also the punctuation which are oriented as LR charters and they are responsible for your text mixing since the next charter is RTL .

Um.. don’t understand what you mean by LR and RTL .. so what must I do ? Anything specific to the text field maybe ?

LR= left to right text apply to Latino English atc` .

RTL =right to left text (that’s the direction Arabic & Hebrew been apply or been read from right to left).

Basically there is no perfect solution, what screw your text is punctuation you need to handle this via extended coding and apply good CSS with it or via great html editor online like cms (on all my years i never so over the web a free or good class or app over the web that handle RTL in flash same as English) You can go to AD search box and type Arabic text on forum, i gave there a basic example for download with Arabic text XML / AS2 cos` i know you dig it ">CSS so look for it cos` it was a very long time ago . Also all those editors mafloral submit don’t handle good punctuation so the user will still struggle on it when typing not to mention if use xml no mention when you embed it

p.s For next time advise for you never do a project if you don’t know how to read Arabic or Hebrew if using xml .
