Hi Audiojunglers
i need another advice from you! i am sure some of you use monitors/speakers to monitor your recordings but how about headphones? any advice on what is good and affordable?
Sorry once again for stupid question but i’d rather ask the pros instead of getting my self something bad
There are so many threads in this respect so instead of starting a new one each time just use search. Check this one, for example: http://audiojungle.net/forums/thread/best-headphone-for-audio-production/77745
The best cheap cans (around $250) are AKG K702.
I spent a lot of time researching headphones, listening, and reading forums. A lot of what I read pointed to the DT880 pros as being the best phones for mixing. I actually asked for some for xmas, so we shall see! I’ll do a follow up post if I remember.
I’d say Audeze LCD3 are the best, but they aren’t in the “affordable” category.
Its a good idea to search for the old posts i didn’t even think about it but yet some of them are too old and out dated
and thnks for the answers guys
i’m using bose quiet confort qc15 with noise canceling i bought them for travelling (and they are exeptional) but they are terrific also for recording. quite (all the low frquency noise is removed) and with exceptional audio quality, deep basses and perfect sound.

I got a pair of 2nd hand beyerdynamic dt100’s a while ago and theyre great. You can replace all the parts so they will last you a long time. Pretty affordable also.
