Hey to all kind people.
I’ve just reach the limit on paypal and need your help.
1. PayPal requires a copy of certain documents for verification purposes to return your account to regular standing.
Please submit each of the following documents:
Valid photo ID
Passport Driver's License National Identity Card
Please make sure that the documentation you provide is up-to-date and legible. The name and address on your documentation must correspond with the information registered on your PayPal account. Your documentation cannot be older than 6 months. Send only documents received by mail (online statements cannot be accepted). Send all the information and documents required as soon as possible to complete the review process.
Well I’m confused about some of the parts
They need all 3 documents to be scanned? What about people who don’t have passport? Next they write that the documentation cannot be older than 6 months, but my ID card is 4 years old and it is valid for next 6 years…
So what to do?
I’ve had to do this before and if I recall, I just submitted a copy of my drivers license. I also talked to them on the phone to verify everything too and it wasn’t any problem.
I just send them a scan of my personal ID via email and everything was nice the next day.
Oh thanks for quick reply.
@JamiGibbs well my speaking English is awfull, so I just can’t call them
I had change to use moneybookers ( now named Skrill ). PayPal fee is too expensive.
I sent them a scan of my ID as well and before I knew it the issue was resolved. It must be a formulation mistake that makes it seem like they’re asking for all three documents – I, for one, don’t have a driver’s license (yet).
Also, the ‘maximum of 6 months old’ seems weird, as the document is still valid conform your national government until it expires (which is usually 4 or 5 years). I’m quite sure mine was at least 2 years old when I sent them a copy. Perhaps they ment 6 months after expiration? Would be odd though, cause it loses its value the day it expires..
Bottomline: just send them a copy of your ID (or passport, whichever you prefer) and see what happens. It’ll probably work itself out just fine.
Thx, for all replies, I’ve sent ID scan and now waiting…
Happened to me too. A year ago. They only wanted a copy of my ID and my latest bank account statement. I think it’s strange if they’d actually want all three documents. In case they do, write them an explanation. It would be nonsense if they’d want you to go and get a new passport or even all three new documents.
My very first thing they put on hold until they got my master business license, drivers license and a signed copy of the agreement between myself and the company I was dealing with.
For me I just called them after I had scan / faxed in any document and within a few days they removed all limits I had.
Since then, I have never had any problems knock on wood
But really, a phone call to their toll free number will help you out a lot once you get some documents together.
