yea I’m an FL user, that’s why I wondered.. you are an FL9 user and you haven’t GrossBeat, can’t believe that.. is it maybe because I have the XXL version?
I absolutely agree with you, I can’t afford all other programs… I tried A-Live, but it didn’t work for me… I’m just too familiar with FL, I hope Image-Line makes FL for Mac.. cuz I don’t wanna be on a PC forever
or do you think that never gonna happen?
I think if you start with a good program you don’t gonna leave that program, cuz you just grow up with it, when I first installed FL it was FL 4 … now look how beautiful it looks
good thing you are a FL user, I stumbled across a FL Tutorial site which is quite nice, not only tuts but also VSTs, have a look http://www.tutozed.com/
The XXL version was discontinued a while ago and I’m guessing that you got Gross Beat for free since you already had the XXL version before it was discontinued. You’re probably one of the fortunate few who got that great deal. I only had the Producer Edition since I didn’t need any of the other big synth plugins. I use the free Synth1 for all my big synth needs.
I remember Fruityloops when it was in beta stage. It started as a clone of the freeware Hammerhead Rhythm Station, a program which was revolutionary during it’s time. FLStudio just kept growing and you’re right, it is beautiful. Fruityloop’s appearance was apparently modeled after MOD trackers ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracker_(music_software) ), which I’ve always loved, so it always felt more comfortable to me. It really impressed me when Image-Line integrated support for Jeskola Buzz plugins ( http://buzzmachines.com ) since I’d been working with Buzz for quite some time and it’s plugins are, even to this day, amazing, not to mention free.
I bookmarked that tutorial website. I was going to purchase access to Warbeats, another FLStudio tutorial site, but I wanted to wait and see if Envato’s tutorial site gets more FLStudio tutorials since they have more than just audio tutorials.

David
