Hey guys,

I was reading this post by Scott Wills and was inspired by all the talk of community.

I have been helped numerous times by other members here and I mean “truly” helped in a way that is taking me to a new level and I am extremely grateful for that.

So, I’d like to propose that ALL AUTHORS take a moment and search up a newbie member on audiojungle, listen to one of their tracks with 0 sales that you think you could improve on and then write to them personally from their profile page with advice on how you’d improve on their track if it were yours. Keep your advice constructive and use that old saying “if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all” as a guidline.

You can reference this post in your recommendation to let them know why you’re doing this if you like. Then post on here and say something like “I’ve just encouraged [authors name]”.

You’d be surprised what a kind word will do to a persons day.

And I’ll start us off…

I’ve encouraged @Madoshi today. ---

You in? 8-)

Also feel free to share anything you’ve learned over the years, months or even days as an author that you think would help the rest of the authors out.

An example would be what @timmcmorris talked about here when he mentioned adding a text file to your main files. Very helpful.

Very nice idea. I tried to encourage yazid45 by “following” him. Also Aazbestos, first by suggesting him to put his music here, second , by suggesting him to put more and left him some comments on his tracks.

Also, who have a blog, maybe can write about some of the AJ composers that he/ she like ;)

I don’t remember where I read it but try to upload your tracks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, those are the days that customers buy the most.

Btw, do I count as a newbie member? I discovered AJ two months ago :)

Oh, come on! nvm :chuckle:

Nice. Shoot @JuanFrancisco, with 6 sales and only 11 items and two months in I’d say I need some advice from you.

I listened to most of your tracks and I like them all and think they’re very well done. Taking notes. ;)

I’m now followin’ ya.

Now that’s what I call encouragement!

Thanks so much John! I’m so glad you like my tracks.

Next week I will make videos of me playing some of my tracks splitting the image up for the different layers of instruments (I hope this makes sense) and upload them to Youtube. I’ll keep y’all posted if it helps for self promotion.

I think that if everyone starts uploading on a Tuesday/Wednesday then your file will be in the ‘recent items’ on the front page for a very brief time! :)

@JuanFrancisco … sounds like a cool idea. Be sure to add your YouTube username to your profile page. It’s under [My Settings\Social Network Links]

FYI – be careful about the “self promotion” thing. See this thread and it will clear it up http://audiojungle.net/forums/thread/a-friendly-reminder/33018
