on 3rd of august i had 3 items in the cue..number1 number 18 and number 22.

all 3 files were reviewed within in 15 minutes and the last 2 were both reviewed and rejected in 72 seconds so i cant see how the files are reviewed in order, seams a bit strange?

maybe the reviewer was in a hurry to get back on the forums.

Yep, I’ve had files that were 12th or 13th overall, but 1st in their category, and they were reviewed. So who knows.

Sometimes there is such a thing as thinking too much.

Do what you need to do, let the reviewers worry about how things get ordered. Theres alot that goes on behind the scenes with set up that people dont realise and this can affect the rate and order at which files are reviewed :)

I doubt that they were reviewed within 72 seconds. That’s probably a delay as the server refreshes it’s cache. And if they were that quick, there would have been a valid reason for it. The reviewing process / queue is a lot more complicated than you would imagine :) If you are at all concerned that your files were poorly reviewed, you can contact support :)

that really is a strange thing to say digitalscience was asking a simple question about the cue system.

“Theres alot that goes on behind the scenes”

yes i know this as well… :(

if the files were reviewed in order thats 16 mintues for 22 files thats about 45 seconds a preview.

i dont believe the 2 emails send to me in 72 seconds were due to any server delays…. other reasons methinks ;)

how about the fact that some files get held in the queue for one reason or another, or that sometimes there is more than one reviewer working on the queue, at times there are 3 or even 4 reviewers working at once.

So enough conspiracy theories please.

That was aimed at you and you alone, when you start quoting freaky stuff like the amount of seconds it took to review two of your files then yeh you do think too much

“Theres alot that goes on behind the scenes”

Yes you may very well know it, but when thinking too much, you never actuallly think to take this into account

if the files were reviewed in order thats 16 mintues for 22 files thats about 45 seconds a preview.

Again this comes down to you not knowing what goes on behind closed doors. majority of those files were probably locked for one reason or another, so all it takes is for a reviewer to come along and click approve once comments are left so yeh that wouldnt take more than a minute or

maybe

most of them had shitty little mistakes on them like names incorrectly spelt which again means it doesnt get fully reviewed

i dont believe the 2 emails send to me in 72 seconds were due to any server delays…. other reasons methinks ;)

Or maybe they all just dislike you and your files and are on a mission to poorly review for you and you alone, that better :P

You’d be surprised how many people make simple mistakes or don’t even read the upload instructions. If a file misses a “preview.swf” or is generally not packed properly, then the reviewing process stops and the file is rejected, and it would take less than 30 seconds to see the preview file is not named correctly or anything else that simple and hit the rejected button.

But it takes Jay a little bit longer because he has to load his rejected guns first:

...which explains the 45 seconds :D – Hope this helps you understand the reviewing process a bit better ;-) :D
