Feature request: Reminder for rating

I am disappointet: I have 55 sales, but only 2 rated I think others have that problem too, or not?

I thought already about that and FHR suggested this too in my other thread “Marketing Research” for us authors and Envato .
So now i suggest this official: Please dear envato developers, implement a reminder function for those buyers who didn’t rate a purchased item. This email could be sent for example 3 days later after the purchase if the member didn’t rate yet.

But maybe other friends have other suggestions how to make buyers rate our stuff, like hacking the envato server, placing skull and crossbones as a warning on the item page etc… ?

I’m afraid that it can be annoying for buyers (at any rate, I would just create a filter for such emails).
Moreover, the rating system should be changed.

Guys i wouldn’t worry too much about the ratings… Or requests for that matter.

Joe’s right. In the 8 months I’ve been here now, I can see that requesting features on here seems pretty farcical.

And one thing I’ve definitely changed my mind on over the last few months is encouraging buyers to rate. Trust me, it creates more harm than good. Especially when your portfolio starts filling up with unjustified, dirty ratings that can have an adverse affect on sales.

Oh god, no. Please remove the ratings altogether. I see your point Mat but apparently you didn’t get any unjustified 1 star ratings yet As others said, often ratings make more harm than good.

may actually better to remove that would not disturb… how many were errors with the click of the wrong star … (1 – left star)
or remake the voting system with a choice of options

Thank you guys, i think all of you are somehow right. You changed my point of view. And yes, i’m glad i have no 1 Star rating yet, your right miksmusic. When i reflect all this, i would agree for better removing the rating feature…. Anyway, until it’s gone, i wish you all 5-stars and no 1-star
