There was an user that posted a small freelance job on the forum for one of my templates. Basically, she thought that my hourly rate was too high, and I suggested posting the job here on the forum. Some authors offered their services, but after she sent all the files to one of them, she didn’t hear anything from him anymore. So she emailed me back an told me about it, and she also gave me his name, which I’m not gonna make public for now (I emailed him and asked him what that was all about, if he’s not gonna answer in a few days, I’ll give the name here)
SO PLEASE , if you are trying to hire a freelancer for your project, CHECK THE AUTHOR ’S PORTFOLIO FIRST . If the author doesn’t have a portfolio, or the portfolio doesn’t suggest too much credibility, don’t hire him, because there are some fake freelancers here that are just hunting for free files.

There may be a possibility. If he is an author of FD then he will not hide like this. May be he has some problem out there. As you said, yes you should wait for some time for him to respond.
how long has it been? i find your scenario a bit implausible.
I think it is not right to open a thread like this. If you have a name, just give it out. Opening a thread like this will affect all the freelancers. I really believe that he/she must be punished someway, but this is not a good way to do it.
What if he was sick or something. This happens a lot and those who seek Freelancers must be more careful.
However don’t forget about the fake buyers. They send you a mail with what they want when u reply back they don’t answer you back!
The world contains both types good and bad. Its simply luck to find good!
i find your scenario a bit implausible. When I started reading this I was thinking that the author decided not to do the project or couldn’t and didn’t want to email them back. Then you mentioned that they just wanted free files and I started seeing where you were coming from but I’m also not sure that I believe this is what happened…bit of a stretch.
you must tell flashden support about this
I want to add also. How can a fake author take a freelance job from here?
In every job request thread AT LEAST 2 or 3 post for their services.
50%++ are realy authors with impressing portfolios.
If the ||buyer|| chooses this fake author just because he has a dreamy price then it’s 50% his fault. The author is choosing the cheapest, and this author is way cheaper than others for if the prices were close then decent authors will get the job.
I don’t know if my point is clear.
even if it was the case, then its party the clients fault. Why would you send files to someone without first checking their credentials? at least see if they have a website!
I agree with phantasmagoria if you want to start a thread like this you must be 100% sure and name the offender or it just jeopardizes the trust of every honest freeelancer on here.
