I’m selling standard licenses pretty well so far but wondered how often some of you have sold an extended license? Thanks.
I had two extended licenses so far. You have many items in portfolio so I guess you will have more often.
Hi David, in my case extended licences came in very rarely. I think I just had a couple of them but keep in mind my first track here went live at about february of this year.
You should wait and hear more opinions but it is of common knowledge that normally standard licences are sold much more that the extended ones. Hope I helped, wish you many extended sales!
Just one time
- Has been a member for 1-2 years
- Most Wanted Bounty Winner
- Author had a File in an Envato Bundle
- Author has had an Item Featured
- Interviewed on the Envato Notes blog
- Bought between 10 and 49 items
- Microlancer Beta Tester
- Sold between 1 000 and 5 000 dollars
I got 3 extended out of 30 sales, so it’s 10% for me that a sale is extended
I just started reading this post and ‘Cha-ching’ an extended sale came though
That is the 4th since uploading my first track back in March if thats any help.. Only have 7 items uploaded though

Not bad! Congrats!
I wonder how often I will need to start reading this thread for the first extended sale.
I’m not sure there is any consistency author to author. I have yet to seel one since my first sale in February. In taking a look around, I am not sure there is anything an author can do to make a track more attractive for an extended license. If there is, someone speak up, because I think it is just an individual buyer thing.
