Imagine if 80% disabled Extended Licences along with a message on their profile saying get in touch to negotiate the terms for an Extended Licence? My point being, disabling Extended Licences out of principal helps raise the issue rather than saying you disagree with the terms, while offering the licence anyway in my opinion. I expect you don’t like the idea of losing revenue from Extended Licences MP, me neither, but I don’t see how enabling Extended Licences while disagreeing with them helps this situation.
Yeah, a lot of talk about disabling Extended Licenses here, but not many actually doing it. I don’t care about the potential revenue lost, someone else is welcome to it. If that person really wants to get the track, they will find a way to contact me and work out terms.
Besides, by keeping your extended license on, you’re just giving more money to Envato.
It’s the principle of it. If you don’t agree with the extended license terms, turn it off. But don’t complain about it, and leave it on, because it makes your argument look pretty weak.

Weak ? I just dont see this issue as you do, so we dont have the same way to solve the problem. And it doesnt make “look my argument pretty weak” as well… That’s why i’m done with this thread. Too many different opinions. I just keep making my music.

Yup, I agree there are many ways to solve the problem, but by enabling extended licenses, you’re sending the message that you agree with Envato’s policy – even though you said that you think the situation is nonsense. It’s quite contradictory.
I disabled them, and I’ll just keep making my music.

Just did some more research and it restored belief (even 1 elite author has extended licenses disabled) and who knows maybe there could be more lucrative deals when ppl can’t buy directly extended license
and now we just continue doing music.

Just to revive this thread a bit, hope Envato changes policy on this matter.
Here’s an excerpt from music licensing terms on another stock marketplace, regarding prohibited use:
“Incorporation of the Content in any product that results in a re-distribution or re-use of the Content (such as templates) or is otherwise made available in such a way one could extract or access or reproduce the Content as a separate file“
I’m no lawyer, but that seems exactly like what we’re looking for here. In the very least with this scenario, the licensing terms should require obtaining author permission.
