Referees are killing this game. All under the protecting eyes of FIFA and with the complicity of the national federations. Better, FIFA is killing this game.

Who cares? Goals win games. In the CL Semifinal, everyone said Chelsea had ‘no game’ compared to Barcelona, and that Barcelona would destroy them, look what happened.

England play to their strengths – you can hardly blame them. They are not as good technically as any of the other nations. Their game is just different to the one Spain and France play. You only have to compare the Italian and Spanish leagues to the EPL to see the difference in style of play too.

No-one remembers who played the most attractive football in Euro 2004, they just remember that Greece won.

There are many ways to play effective football. I’m sure you would be happy if your team won every game 1-0 to win the World Cup.

First, I’m from England, I just live in America. I like football, and American football, both can be great games to watch. Back to football, I love the way Brazil, Barcelona, Arsenal, etc… play football, but I also love it when my team wins.

Sport is sport, people enjoy different things and different styles of sports.

For example…cricket is one of the most popular sports in the world (obviously because it’s popular in India, a huge country), yet many people think it is incredibly boring

It’s not ‘wrong’ or ‘right’, it’s just what you prefer and also what you are used to in your country. I prefer to watch my team (England) win at any cost, if attractive football is played, that’s great, but I’m not going to complain if we win an ugly 1-0.

England is not Brazil, and that’s just fine with me

That said, I thought England were terrible today, especially in the 1st half. But we won the game, so, whatever…. let’s see how we do against the Italians, we will have to improve.
