Hello, Is there anyway to download a certain composition to test it with the work we are developing?

When we listen to samples of compositions they all have the Envato “watermark” once and while, my questions is, can the composition be downloaded, since it will still maintain the same mark, before it is purchased so that we can test if it works well with our project?

Thanks,

Anne

Hey Anne,

It sure is possible! :)

All you need to do is click the button furthest to the bottom right on the AudioJungle player when listening to an item preview and you’ll be able to download the preview with watermark.

Hi Drew

Thank you very much! Now it seems silly to have asked since it is so simply! Thank you again!

OK, but what do I do with this “preview” file that has no extension. The programs can not recognise it. Should I rename it ? :)

  • UPDATED figured it out 10 secs later – yes, you should add yourself an extension ”.mp3” in order to use it

Just be careful when it’s really timing-sensitive. MP3’s don’t have the exact length of a WAV, it always differs a few samples. Not the length within the file but the starting point is slightly different.
In such cases I provide WAV preview files on request, just contact me whenever you would need something like this from one of my items ;)

That’s a very good point. I’ve noticed this when bouncing out that the files are always said to be 1 second different (because it rounds up or down I guess). This could definitely cause timing issues. Do you know why the MP3 encoding does that?

A note to fellow authors:

I’ve noticed a few forum posts from potential buyers saying “I’m trying to find this song”. They have downloaded the preview, probably several previews, and then have been lost in the sea of 100,000 tracks trying to find it again to purchase.

I place ID3 tags on my mp3 preview files and noticed they will remain on the downloaded preview. This way it can be easily linked back to your profile and you won’t miss out on that sale. I’m sure it doesn’t happen all the time but a couple of seconds to add your account name and the name of the track won’t hurt.

Also, make sure your workstation re-samples the file if your working with sample rates other than 44.1Khz :)
