Do you Skype?

I dont use skype, but if i did.. I wouldnt see an issue sharing it in a pertinent thread like this. Not as if the OP is forcing you to reply to this thread and or demand your skype info.

As for the analogy of email , telephone number sharing.. Well you can email pretty much any user via their profile.

Plus with skype dont you have to accept the users request?

maybe i see this different too… for me is skype or icq or other messenger a anonyme toy for communication. i started a thread before with less feeback. for me sharing skype is something complete different than telephone or mail (ok mail is crap for fast communication)

i would love to get connected to other people here, open a skype group channel!

Yes I (as many other people) use skype but why do I need unknown people even from this great Envato comunity as well as outside to contact me? I use skype to comunicate with people I know. Anyone who know me feel free to request my skype ID ,..

Even more stupid would be to create another thread like “are you using email, post your email address here”. “Post your phone number here”, etc

I usually also only give my Skype ID to people I know. But I’m also open to meeting new people. I don’t see whats the problem here. If you don’t like someone then just delete him from you contact list or decline his/her invite. And I mostly disagree with your “It’s like asking people to post their phone number” statement since you can’t stop people from calling you but you can stop people from talking to you on Skype by simply decline their contact invite or deleting them from you contact list. So I really don’t see whats the problem here.
