Hi, all!
If you sell a Project, for example, wedding video album template – do you need model release permissions for images those are used only in the preview video, but are not included in the project files?
Thanks!
You can use preview photos from Photodune without any permission but it’s kinda expected to leave links to them in your item description. You can also buy photos from Photodune if you don’t like the preview watermark and use them in different projects. No model release required.
If you want to use images from other sources you’ll need a model release or at least a sufficient license in order to have your project approved
Hope this made sense
Thank you! So if I buy some pictures from non-envato stock, put them in preview video (so that I am not re-saling them, but only use to show how the project looks when it’s done), do NOT include them in the project and apply license telling Im allowed to use the pictures for any promotional content – that is ok, right? It’s just that I got like thousands of stock pictures bought during last couple of years, I’m not happy to buy more:) I could use rectangles saying “place your photo or video here”, but it’s not so much promotional:)

you need to check if the license of those photos gives you the right to use them in the preview of your item.
Well, I’m not sure there is a license for preview exactly, but I’ll read it carefully, thanks!
