Thanks for your replies guys. Yep, did all that already. I’m working on the Sfx right now, not on an audio track. The’re pretty simple and I’ve already cut out everything that could get in the way while working with them before mastering. Even when I listen to sine wave sounds on the phone, it adds obertones and the sound distorts. Maybe someone have done sounds for mobile apps? Could there be something I’m doing wrong from the start?

How about trying mid/side EQing. Gentle HPF on the sides (Low stereo frequencies) maybe that might help level out the low end from distorting.
