Thank you. so i will wait until tomorrow then :), Keep up the good work, Envato Team!

That’s exactly what i was talking about!! :D

Keep up the good work! What good work?! :D
Usually whenever a slight mistake happens, it is common to see some appreciation towards overall performance instead of just poking the mistake. Every member deserves to freely show their opinion – doesn’t matter if it is positive or negative. Cross talk is what distracts the feedbacks! Just my 2 dollars! :P

So That’s what’s going on in this thread? http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/update-on-payment-search-and-support-ticket-issues/84512?page=1

Appreciation towards overall performance?! No! There’s a trend on Envato lately.. Every time something is going bad, a staff member comes in and everybody gives thanks to the staff member for being honest! Nobody actually speaks about the errors. Everybody is happy because the staff is transparent. So this means that the staff can do whatever they want, make bad mistakes, don’t do their work properly, then just come out and say they are sorry and everything is ok!

I’m sorry, but this is not how a business should be run. In the last months there were a lot of payment issues! And they still continue with them, so a simple “sorry” just isn’t enough. Staff should be responsible for their mistakes and do things properly!

I’m not necessarily talking about the one day delay on the SWIFT payments now, since i don’t care about it.. I’m talking how they make a lot of mistakes and they don’t stop in doing them. And don’t pretend that you don’t know about the really bad UI moves, and all the stupid changes that were implemented in the past months and about all the forum chatter..

Nobody likes how things are going on the marketplaces, but when a staff member comes in and apologizes, everybody is happy. What?! I’m sorry my friend, but this is hypocrisy..

Thank you Vahid for this very important update because many authors that requested payment via SWIFT who are not aware of this present situation might end up opening lots of threads asking for their payment(s).

Since it is 150 SWIFT wire transfers that didn’t go through, there are chances that some of us will receive our payment in time.

please cut a head from some envato accountants and stick it to the gate. or more better, send it to some elite authors like a sign of penitence, or maybe use it to make some t-shirts for those pure souls what live among us.

ok .. i apologize .. Everything is going on perfectly fine in the marketplaces. Nothing could improve..everything is perfect .. I just didn’t see this :D

Things will never change.. Stupid changes will also be made without any notice, vital requests will still be postponed forever, payments issues will arise each month, server outages will be in effect each week, elite author advertisements will always be handled badly, etc, etc, etc, but all these are normal.

So i think i’ll just keep my thoughts for myself in the future.. :|

here is not talking about happiness or perfection. not sure what expectation have anybody from life, but in a world where nothing is working ok (oh yes, we have a lot of fireworks to fill the bottom of eyes, to see the life in pink), i am not expecting an internet tool – like is this market – to work more better.

is true, a lot of important market request aren’t made (and i don’t believe will ever be made), but i appreciate any prove of respect when somebody walk on my foot and make an apologize. even is not a guaranty in future will not happen again, is still a prove of a minimum respect.

Sorry to be that guy but why tell us the day the funded are due? I presume that evanto have known about this for some time and could have allowed those affected time to make alternative arrangements.

Also any indication to which authors are getting a delayed payment?

I appreciate the apology, but surely contacting each author as soon as evanto knew about the issue would have been more fitting.

Not the accountants!! Those poor lovely souls locked in their glass caged office. Free from moral wrong and without sin, just pure innocence incarnate! Save the childre.. uh, accountants? ;-)

In all seriousness, it was me who held up the train today and stuffed up and so it is was my apology to make. :-(

And also in all fairness to our accountants – they thought to call our bank account manager to solve the problem (but no luck since the FX market system shuts down precisely at 4:30pm). The accountants also suggested that the root problem was that we didn’t provide ourselves with enough of a window to get all the transactions done now that the volume has increased. 4 years ago trying to get the whole thing done on the one day was ok – no longer. So we will be starting the swift payment window a little earlier to ensure we get it all done in a timely fashion. Just to be clear – the commission withdrawal work actually takes a lot longer than a day, but the payment window is rather slim.

Hi Mikedidthis – all good questions.

  • Given the importance of this matter I posted here about 30min after we discovered the problem and after we had checked alternative solutions.
  • The only people affected were those with SWIFT payments. PayPal, Payoneer and MoneyBookers don’t have the same deadlines and those payments were all cleared and confirmation notices sent out.
  • The Swift payments will be delayed by about 15 hours or so. Given they can taken several days to clear we’re talking about an extra half a day. To be clear I’m not saying this is ok – just putting it into perspective as I think you might be thinking they are delayed a week.

Hope that helps!

Yeah, was already wondering where the money was :D. Now we know, thanks for the heads up Vahid. 24 hours delay is something we can live with.
