ProTools of course (but I recommend you to use 9< because it supports much more audio interfaces than lower versions) , Logic Pro (mac only), Cubase 5<, StudioOne by PreSonus.

Reason is a great DAW too!

X2 is released.

I can add Digital Performer. Although, it’s rather what you learn to do with the DAW you choose than the DAW itself. They have different features, a lot of them similar, some have more, some less. Most of them gives you the features needed to record, compose and produce.

I’m still working with protools 8 and some awesome VI’s. For me, protools midi get the job done right.
