What kind of DAW system I can use for high quality???
Logic, Pro tools, Ableton Live, Sequoia, Cubase, Nuendo, Reason 6.
Let me add Cakewalk Sonar X1 and the upcoming X2
ProTools of course (but I recommend you to use 9< because it supports much more audio interfaces than lower versions) , Logic Pro (mac only), Cubase 5<, StudioOne by PreSonus.
Reason is a great DAW too!

X2 is released.
I can add Digital Performer. Although, it’s rather what you learn to do with the DAW you choose than the DAW itself. They have different features, a lot of them similar, some have more, some less. Most of them gives you the features needed to record, compose and produce.
Reaper, excelent custumize DAW
Give Presonus Studio One 2 a try. It has a real great workflow. There is a free version to get started: http://studioone.presonus.com/free/
I’m still working with protools 8 and some awesome VI’s. For me, protools midi get the job done right.
