alkis saidI thought it was short for ‘alcoholics’
I used my real name. I’m regretting it now.
It is, in many European languages (German, any Scandinavian Language, sometimes English, etc). I think that makes it even worse that I chose this name.
Luckily in Greek it derives from the ancient Greek word ???? (unicode not available in this forum… in latin spelling: “alki”), meaning “strength” and sometimes also “truth, virtue”, so at least where I live people don’t assume that I’m an alcoholic.
I took the first consonants of my name (Graham) then added izzle.

Doesn’t seem too bad to me – I read it to sound like ” al – kiss ” so not alcoholics.
Of course you can change your name, but maybe it would be a bad idea once you’re an established author.

Yep, I think that especially some videohive authors won’t know where the heck I’ve disappeared – at least the first months the traffic might decrease.
Sorry for the off topic, guys! Continue this nice thread!

3Ddym saidThe name is catchy, but I have never been too sure about polygamy though.

Haha! A fellow member of the ‘Grammar SS’ ?
Joiaco is my name ‘jo’ plus ‘iaco’, which is a tribute to the GR buyer who introduced me to Graphic River and encouraged me to join. (sedym) I like the overlay of ‘joia’ in the word, so it reads like “The Joy Company”. Joy is happiness unburdened with thought so quite apt for creative inspiration.
I just used my name, it’s kind of old fashioned to do it that way but I am happy with it.
