Hello there talented audio engineers!
I’m looking for a very specific sound effect. Let me set the mood for you.
Chernobyl theme park… post nuclear meltdown. A merry go round off in the distance… beautiful sound, but clearly it’s not “in tune”. After roughly 35 seconds of this, the carousel begins to spin out of control until it basically crashes (almost like coming out of a dream sequence). The piece resolves with a light “fairy tale-esque” mood.
The actor is in the present – Chernobyl 2013 – as he relives that fateful day in his mind, he is reminded of the times prior to the explosion, when he had a promising life, with a girlfriend… and a future.
Hi, this one requires a custom work, could you tell us what is your budget for the matter?
There’s no specific amount that I had in mind. I’ve never requested custom work before, I’ve always just mixed the pieces myself but this project is far beyond what I feel comfortable doing. I’m not looking to spend a fortune, but we certainly have some wiggle room for quality.
The piece that I end up with, will also receive national recognition as we are a nationally competitive performing group and announce show credits live to hundreds of people at 10-12 shows per season – not to mention the exposure to other competitive units seeking the same type of work.
Hi Brandon! I just sent you an email!
I see what you mean, a kind of ‘memory’ scene with detuned reversed sound coming to crash and chaos. There are some sounds which may be used as elements for this, but target soundscape is too custom to even be accepted on AJ. So send a video with description and time locators to try creating sth
Just send you a message and a link.
