Changes to author dashboard

I wonder if these changes are managed with a dice or if there is some serious thought behind it.

I find it really strange why you’d put something in such a prime location that maybe gets used once every few days at most, and realistically around once per month.

Hopefully you’re testing will show no increase in uploads after making the change, compared to where it used it to be. It’s not as if I’ll go ‘Oh look, forgot about the upload bit, let me upload something now’ as it takes a long time to get something worthy and ready for upload.

Thanks…It will be much useful to new authors who are preparing their files for ENVATO marketplace.

If you really think new authors can’t find the upload box why not display it just for new authors with no items. All authors with at least one item already found it (obviously) and don’t need it in this famous position

To be honest, I don’t really get why this thread is so popular.

They moved the upload box two inches to the left. Wow, what a change.

I cannot imagine how someone can be bothered by this. I see the upload form now as clearly as before, my new comments have been moved one inch down.

I neither get why these changes where useful nor how people can be so upset about that. Like if they cannot find their new comments anymore…

I think this is how the staff also going to think. The problem is there are 9 different marketplaces receiving same changes while the priority and expectations are widely varying between each marketplace. I am pretty sure the new upload box position would make GR, VH and AJ authors to feel little more easy or at-least no problem. But for TF and CC authors who spend enormous time on item comments and other data, this is nothing – in fact creates a question if the future improvements also going to be the same basic level changes.
