Maybe I state the obvious but I don’t know nothing about this situation.

Why you ask us to send mails to envato?

I sometimes think that any suggested copyright violation results in a file being automatically removed, no matter how little truth their may be in it.

While I’m absolutely against plagiarism and all for the enforcement of copyright – this only as far as it makes sense. If removing an author’s work is a knee-jerk reaction to any accusation (and I’ve heard some pretty far-fetched accusations) you could easily say that Envato is not protecting its authors. Indeed competitors could start to use such techniques to get an upper hand.

Now I don’t know… maybe Vectorica did infringe someone’s copyright, but I’d like to think that an author as talented as he is really wouldn’t have any need to knowingly copy someone else’s work. Hope to see him back here soon.

Couldn’t agree more. It happened to me once with one of the items. After couple of days of approving the item it just disappeared. No email, no nothing. I sent a message to support but didn’t got any response for couple of days. Finally, I contacted Mark and he went to investigation. Finally he found out that one author complained that I copied his work (which I didn’t of course), and they’ve removed the item, warning me that if I do it again I will be removed from envato and that I’m lucky they’ve let me stay in here. Pretty scary stuff :)

EFEKT, it has happened to me too. Vectorica could not defend his case because he was on holidays without internet connection and copyright stuff decided to close his account because he did not answer anything. If you won’t answered perhaps this will be your case or mine. we have to be always afraid? DORU, help somebody that has suffer an injustice it is always fine for the soul (almost to me)

But we don’t know what is the problem… I think its better to wait for an official response, and then of course we act. Can someone from the stuff tell us what is going on

I think that NOWONE can blame VECTORICA for copyright. He is one of the most original creators here… and if someone did something like that, must be crazy.
