Can you install plugins on your theme demo but not include them?

I am planning to sell a theme on themeforest soon and there are a couple of plugins such as flickr widgets and such that I would like to install on my theme demo site to show what a final site can look like. Of course these are free plugins from the repository, and therefore available to anyone who buys my theme, so there is no point including it with the theme itself.

Is this allowed? Or can a demo site only show what comes in the theme zip file? Thanks guys

You could do this and then tell your customers in a readme where they can download it :)

You can easily allow users to install plugins from .org etc with this class http://tgmpluginactivation.com

Off-topic, you seem to know your stuff with WP. Curious, why don’t you release any themes here?
