I mean it would be global per author per marketplace. But version with “opt-in/opt-out per item” seems more flexible. Anyway, an author should be able to disable-enable all files at one time. If he has 1000 item in the portfolio, and he wants totally enable-disable the feature it would be not much fun to do that individually per item

I think it’s a great idea. All of the tracks I checked related very well. I’m sure we could all do better if we devoted hours to searching for “perfect companions,” but who has that kind of time? I’d rather go write and record more music. Awesome plan.

Wow, I just discovered this new feature at the moment and I must say I do not really understand the choice of Envato. If the goal is to promote artists more easily, I think there are other ways to do rather than doing it on the pages of those who do not want this option (like me). Indeed, I do not see why an author should promote the music of an other. I agree that this is a community here but it’s also about making a living with his own music. It’s like forcing a store to promote its competitor.

I see everywhere on the forum that many authors complain of not being see as much as some “big” authors, I also felt when I arrived on AJ. But by dint of perseverance and working, I managed to get my own in the game. And now with this new feature, I have the feeling that “success” of some authors does benefit others … It might sound selfish but again, being a composer is a real profession, create and sell music is a profession, and a profession is done for a living … Not to help others to win … I give you here the back of my mind, hoping that you understand my position.

There are clearly other options to promote the authors fairly but please Envato, let authors to choose whether or not promote others on their own pages !
