Hey there!

I’m currently looking into online advertising for my CodeCanyon and VideoHive items, and at the moment I’m thinking about using BuySellAds.

I have a couple of questions though.

Firstly, if I use BuySellAds, which websites are best for WordPress plugins? I’m considering the wpTuts+ site.

Secondly, can I use my referral link for the ads or not?

Please let me know.

Sam :)

For wordpress, of course your target should be wp users.. so wptuts is a good platform.. and yes you can add your ref, like every publisher does :)

Thanks for the reply.

I just purchased an ad space on wp tuts so will wait and see if I have any sales.

How successful is this type of marketing?

I decided to go for 10,000 impressions for a CodeCanyon item I have, however, on average how many sales would I be likely to get for this amount?

Thanks

Sam:)

to be honest, if you can catch buyers focus and if you can make him click your ad.. purchasing will depend on your project.. for your average question there is no average; but if you paid 100$ and if you earn at least 101 dollars by this ad, that means it works :)

You’ll need to test around with different ads in order to get it right. It takes time to perfect it which is why people charge crazy amounts to offer their services.

Great advice everyone. Does anyone have any success or failure stories with advertising they’d like to share?

I’ve earned some affiliate sales from posting on deviant art and flickr

Cre8tiveCloud,

Do you think that posting other people’s items with referral links is a good way to earn or not?
