Hey support, or lance, or drew,
I tried to submit another item to the bargain bin about a month ago and I have not heard anything back yet about it from anyone. Is there anyway to know if my item is in queue for it or if they even received the submission? I used the form from this link to submit my item
Also, I submitted a ticket to support about a copyright violation of one of my files on a rapidshare kind of site, I received an email back that said “Thanks for your email. I’ve passed the link onto the approrpiate member of staff.”
And three weeks later I went to see if they had done anything yet, and it was still on the rapidshare site for download.
I am not trying to complain I just would like to know whats going on. If I need to give you the support ticket number i will, just contact me.
well I think when you inform the support about a copyright issue they will inform the author (probably) and that’s about it. That’s because, aparently:
“As the copyright holder to your own work, you are the only one legally authorized to enforce your intellectual property rights.”
So if you are the author then is like you get inside of a loop and that’s the motive you get no answer
check this out for more info:
Per the bargain bin item I’m not sure, you’ll need to have an open ticket, since you said you did I’ll keep an eye out for it.
Per the copyright issue, we won’t be able to share the details, progress or outcome of any violations for legal and liability reasons. We do have staff that actively looks after this and takes what action they can.

That’s because, aparently:Not completely true, we do look into everything reported and do everything we can, but as authors hold the legal copyrights to their work we encourage them to take action as it can usually get handled more quickly that way and with better outcomes.
Please report this kind of stuff to report as I don’t want this thread to turn into a piracy discussion/link/site dropping. Thanks
Thanks for the help Doru and Drew. I will look into doing more myself to get it taken off of that site.
I will take out “probably” from my post then.
I’m not a lawyer, but can we sign something to authorize envato to combat this at a company level? Or that the author and envato could take action together?
This appear to be logical to me, because after all most of the authors are “exclusive”.

Yeah in the DMCA you can write:
“The duly authorized representative of the exclusive rights holder”.
