Example: while i’ve been able to magically reorder my badges today, i’ve encounter the nth problem with illegal urls on file comments. And i can’t remember anyone asking for badges re-ordering feature (which is nice, though).
While this sounds good, it actually portrays how the priorities are arranged here (fighting for an obvious issue doesn’t sounds healthy – even reduces trust from medium into low). I guess if there are single in house staff allocated for observing user experience (with technical knowledge to communicate with Dev team + permission to add tasks), chances are there to come up with these kind of solutions few years back even without community feedback/complaints (which will obviously reduce support staff burden).
These marketplaces definitely deserves 1 dedicated in-house staff to check the possibilities of addressing issues as well as dispatching the solutions to dev team to make sure things are solved in fixed time frame (for example every 2 month update). Considering the size of marketplaces (number of members), it is surprising to see such a low level attention and care.
Just my personal note, I no longer have time to cry here, having time only to invest on work (the same is true for every member here at some time). You guys waste the development resources on badge and similar gimmicks which helps escape from obvious responsibilities. That’s one of the proven business strategies to cut the cost and keep yourself cool. It just works and you guys addicted to that taste, sadly.
