It would be super cool if any of you guys could share some advice on travelling and even cooler if I could meet a bunch of Envato Authors for a drink or three along the way![]()
I’ll be right here in Austria, if you fancy snow and mountains – you could knock on Kriesi’s door as well while you’re here I guess
Good luck mate and please stay safe and return as a whole!
There’s quite a few of us packed up in Austria

@KingDog, I’ll do my best to keep everyone updated (and maybe even post about how much my travels are costing and how my GR account could be paying for it?)
@DarkstarDesigns, could you recommend anywhere good to stay in Bangkok on arrival?
@ThemeSector & Contrasblack, my friends and I have talked about at some point over the next couple of years spending a season up in the Alps skiing, I guess that could mean time in Austria
Although each of my two friends and I have visited most places in Europe, so we’ll be staying away for a while
@CodingJack, no need to be jealous with sales like yours! Pack up your laptop and go!
Not too sure on what we’d like to do in the states, we’ve not really thought that far ahead although we’re all fans of America. We’ve already done the theme parks in Florida and skied up in the Rockies, so maybe something a little less touristy.. although (and yes goes against the touristy thing) doing the whole Route66 thing is an attractive thought as that spans a good portion of the country.
@Ivor, yes! I was showing my friends the pictures you showed me of where you live the other day and it was a unanimous yes haha!
Very cool.
Traveling around the world is my dream too.. You are more than welcome in India. If you are going to start your journey from Thailand, it’s best to start India from South to the way up. Some really great temples down south, white desert (Kutch, Gujarat) and metropolis Mumbai, Gateway of India in the the west , beautiful hills side and wildlife national parks in the east (don’t miss Cherrapunji here, the wettest place in the world), and some great religious culture (Varanasi, Mathura, etc) and monuments in north (Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, etc). Would love to grab a coffee when you are around Mumbai.
Have a great trip!!
Welcome to thailand
I’m quite an experienced backpacker and the most useful advice I can give you is that don’t plan too much and go with the flow. If you like one place/country stay there few days or weeks longer and the places you don’t like leave as quickly as possible.
Well, I live in Bangkok, so If you need any pointers I will gladly help.
Awesome plan! I live in Medellin, Colombia. Make sure to drop me a line when you are around here.
I’ll be glad to meet you
