So I forgot to set my withdrawal for last months earnings…basically putting me in a terrible position as I’m a full time author and rely on TF to live on. I contacted support this morning 12 hrs within the withdrawals being processed and they explained there’s nothing they can do as the system is automated (no manual option which I find very hard to believe) we’re talking about a pretty decent amount of money here almost 5 figures.
What I’m proposing is that instead of having to go in and select a withdrawal every month, why isn’t there an automatic option offered? I’ve been with Envato since 2008 and always wondered why this hasn’t been an option.
I think the option ” All earnings available at end of month” is already something close to your idea or goal perhaps.

No because you have to set it each and every month….
It’s been requested since conception of the marketplaces I believe.. not really sure why it’s still not an option though, maybe it’s a paypal thing / rule etc – honestly no idea.

It is but what I’m proposing is another checkbox that will automatically request withdrawal every month indefinitely until the option is unchecked.
I definitely agree with you, I’m a full time author too and it would be a very big problem if I forgot to to withdraw my money. I have a family and need to pay taxes etc. I can understand your situation.
Agree: a checkbox with ”Remember my choice every month” feature.
I barely remembered a few days ago
I really think this is a good idea where it will automatically request it and send the money to PayPal etc. It would probably actually lessen Envato’s support requests too when it comes to withdraws.
On one hand I agree but on the other hand, if it’s that important to you then why forget about it?
What I’d like to see is instant withdrawal and cashout to PayPal. Waiting a month is sometimes just too long.

This has come up a few times actually. But I think the idea is that they are hoping to keep your money in your account in hopes that you’ll spend it on the marketplaces. This doesn’t really make sense for authors, but I could see why they would do it for buyers who deposit money. Without an automatic withdraw, money stays in the ecosystem.
I’ve forgotten to withdraw earnings a few times myself. Both times really put me in a spot, because like Chris, I rely solely on my theme sale earnings. My fault, I suppose, but it really shouldn’t be locked up for another month by default. That money is serious business for some people who rely on it. There should at least be a way to work with people who forget to do it.
