I’m opening up a personal website soon and want to showcase some of my songs, and I intend to keep the files watermarked, however I don’t want to spend time watermarking each song and keeping track which ones are watermarked and which ones aren’t. For this reason i was wondering if anybody had a file or knew of a resource I could use that would either auto watermark a file or would play the unwatermarked song through a flash mp3 player that would play the watermark over the audio file currently playing.

I am willing to invest some money for the non exclusive development of this file if none exist.

even if that was the case, you would still have the risk of it in the temporary internet files, or if it’s included in the swf, someone decompiling it and retreiving the unwatermarked version, no, your best bet unfortunately is to spend time watermarking each song. sorry to disappoint you :(

rm’s right, you’d be able to view the stream using firebug or checking your cache. You need to watermark at the source… :(

Can you not get a program to do this as a batch function? Rather than yourself doing it one by one..

You would think so wouldn’t you!? I’ve looked far and wide and found nothing! The only thing that came close was this auto batcher that came from The Game Creator store, which takes a .wav and takes another .wav (watermark file) and spits out a .ogg at 80kbs. It silences the parts with the watermark coming through which is too much to be useful here.

I also found no such file here in Flash Den, a shame.

It’s also slightly worrying, is this loophole in every flash mp3 player out there? I mean what about the other sites, productiontrax, iStockAudio, revostock? Is it possible to steal audio from them as well?

i’m not sure, if the seller doesn’t watermark it, or if the person reviewing (not sure if there is one) doesn’t watermark it, then you can probably take it.
