I understand your point but it’s wrong.
The reviewer is right.
Why would you even make an extruded logo template?
It is already done years ago.
Be creative. It’s time to evolve!

I agree with you DsignProductions, creativity is out best skill and as designers we have to find new way to comunicate our message but we are also seller, and we should but our effert in something we belive will repay us. In my specific case i don’t think that the main focus of the template is the fact that the logo is extruded.. It’s about the athmospere, elegance, the music.. It conveins security..

@ Stro88 : Previously I did not want to offend you, but we already know this is a classic problem for both new authors and old author. I think you should be able to take it, you should better think how to make the files better. This is serious business, and there is no special treatment for us fellow author.

This is not the end of your journey friend, it’s too early to get disappointed :)

Like DsignProductions says : Be creative. It’s time to evolve!

Thank’s for the words man. I’m not taking it and i know that this can only help me to grow. I just wanted to have some feedback, to know what other authors thinks, if they have similar though and/or experience!

I’m not here to offend anybody or sound unpleasant to this great comunity!

One way to look at this is from a maintenance viewpoint. If everyone uploaded the same type of item, trying to get stuff in there that there is already an overabundance of, that would put unnecessary strain on the server. There wouldn’t be much room left for other stuff after a certain point. I think Envato’s policy about saturation is a good one because it creates room for other, more original and creative works while still offering room for more commonly used items if they can prove their worth in the marketplace.

Stro you have good skills, as others say go ahead and create new and original items… even expert authors are rejected sometimes… don’t worry, I’m starting now too and I’m one of the most rejected authors :D let’s create more then extruded logos, we can do a lot more!!!

I have to support Stro88 here!

I would totally understand if this was a slider in CodeCanyon for example. That category is waay way too saturated. But Stro88’s item is just about design and looks, and it’s really subjective to say that it’s bad or “we have too many items like this”. Some buyers might love it, some might not. Me? Love it!

Anyway, don’t give up :)

rejection is the best way to improve your item quality on envato. Trust me, with every rejection, you realize and learn a lot of new things. I know it makes you feel sad and disappointed but it only makes you better.

Don’t lose your hope. Be more creative :D

I think quite a few categories in the marketplaces have become overly saturated and I would agree that something ‘different and unique’ should only be accepted for those categories.

I didn’t realise that this rejection based on too many of a certain type of file happens but I am really glad it does.

If one author has a great idea for a certain ‘type’ of project then it is only fair that the amount of projects that are similar is limited to a certain amount. This both protects the sales of the original author and forces creativity from other members of the marketplaces.

A lot of people on this thread seem annoyed that what Envato need is a lot of badly put together original content. That content however is not generating sales as it is badly put together. If I were to even consider copying (or should I call it ‘taking inspiration’) from another project, pick one that has been done badly and has no sales and make it kick ass and awesome and just watch the cash roll on in.

I also see a lot of people annoyed on these forums that their items are not selling or are rejected even though other items that are similar are being really successful.

Be different, be unique, be creative, be successful! (Ok it might not be that simple but it has to beat copying others work and being rejected)

I agree with every word you sad! The only issue for me was that i really wanted that template to have a chance! I don’t feel like i’m coping and if one of my item isn’t selling i can manage to figure out why by myself.
As I stated before the focus on that particular item wasn’t the technique (Extruded) but the feelings it transmit. And From that point of view i see it unique! Maybe i’m wrong man, but have it bublished would have answered my question.
I think now it’s time for designing something new!! I will try my best! :)
