3dbacks saidVideohive items used to create any video must have a license from Envato (regular or extended). Exclusive authors sell these items ONLY here. So I assume, even if it’s our own item it still must be purchased. (I could be wrong though… )

Well, the official line is apparently that if you notice goosing going on, then report it to support.
They would like to know about anything that is gaming the system, or is misleading to buyers.
What they’ll do about it is quite another matter.

Just bump this, I had a situation where client send me the money to buy the AE file and the sound from AJ.
I bought the sound and when I went to purchase my file it says that I m not allowed.
Fair enough.
I never had a second account here and really don ‘t need it (until today ?)
I would like to have the possibility to forward a request (reviewers?) to get permission in justified situations like this one.
Also I know that there are better stuff to do…
This was just the first reaction to my first (and last) hard rejected purchase

For this scenario envato gives permission to open a new account, no problem with that I guess.
or just have the client buy it themselves and forward license email to you the customizer as proof…?
this is a really interesting post. and to be honest, i’ve thought about the implications of this. But the reality is this: i would never do this.
For me, the BEST thing about videohive, is coming on to check and know that you have a real, honest sale – that a normal decent person has paid for your genuinely hard work. That is so reassuring to me and is the thrill sometimes when i come and and see ‘ooh loook, 5 sales in a day’ or ‘oh, no sales today’.
As i aproach my 200th sale (i’m just teetering on 199 sales), i feel really good to know that each and everyone of my items was bought on good merit. And i believe that GOOD Work rewards itself and advertises itself – if you prduce an epic piece, you shouldn’t need to goose sales. if it sells, it sells. if it doesn’t, it doesn’t – move onto the next.
personally, I would rather have no sales, than goosed sales.
