Just like the title says, is anyone successfully using 27” Apple Thunderbolt display on PC? I was thinking about buying one and using it on my i7 machine (Win8 64bit). Graphic card is GTX Titan.
EDIT: Display* in the title
Dell UltraSharp 27” cheaper and better.
Well, I am using HP ZR2740w on my Mac Pro at work, which is similar to Dell. I just somehow miss my iMac 27” glossy look that is the reason I wanted Cinema 27” on my PC at home.

Hmmm okay :/ that is a shame. I thought that mini DP on my gfx will work through TB. Thank you very much for the info
I found this https://www.google.com/shopping/product/1493876007597784992?q=thunderbolt%20to%20HDMI&hl=en&prmd=imvns&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&fp=2d96ede210ccce61&bpcl=36601534&biw=1600&bih=775&tch=1&ech=1&psi=0leQUOHqG6O-yQHCxICIBw.1351636946324.3&sa=X&ei=5VeQUL-vCIb9ygHQt4HgBA&ved=0CGEQ8wIwAA
Guess that might work, at least in theory it should, but who knows. It would be a shame to dish out 1k euros for something that you cannot use :/ or well, I could, in the studio… but still, it would be a waste of money pretty much
It is a really nice monitor, but it is not glossy (glass overlay) like Apple one.
I have seen http://www.iiyama.com/us_en/products/prolite-xb2779qs-1/ and I think it is pretty good, considering it has so many positive reviews. I think that should be the closest it gets to Apple Thunderbolt alternative… but it is still not the “real” thing
If anyone has any experience with that Iiyama, please do tell
