Just like the title says, is anyone successfully using 27” Apple Thunderbolt display on PC? I was thinking about buying one and using it on my i7 machine (Win8 64bit). Graphic card is GTX Titan.

EDIT: Display* in the title :)

Well, I am using HP ZR2740w on my Mac Pro at work, which is similar to Dell. I just somehow miss my iMac 27” glossy look :) that is the reason I wanted Cinema 27” on my PC at home.

Guess that might work, at least in theory it should, but who knows. It would be a shame to dish out 1k euros for something that you cannot use :/ or well, I could, in the studio… but still, it would be a waste of money pretty much :)

You could take a look at this as an alternative (not a cheap alternative…): Samsung S27B970D LED PLS :)

It is a really nice monitor, but it is not glossy (glass overlay) like Apple one.

I have seen http://www.iiyama.com/us_en/products/prolite-xb2779qs-1/ and I think it is pretty good, considering it has so many positive reviews. I think that should be the closest it gets to Apple Thunderbolt alternative… but it is still not the “real” thing :)

If anyone has any experience with that Iiyama, please do tell :)

Actually it seems that this Samsung is glossy :o I will check that a bit more! Seems quite interesting… and it looks ok also.
